Open Skies is a newspaper written by students from all five rural schools, and is published three to four times each school year.  Although each school has as editor, an older student who takes responsibility for accepting and turning in assignments; the articles may be written by a student other than the editor or as a collaborative effort by several students or a whole class.

Open Skies helps strengthen the connections between the five rural schools, provides an avenue for sharing our accomplishments with the wider community, and offers students an opportunity to use their writing skills in the context of journalism.  Each issue contains a headline article, an interview, an opinion piece, a humor piece, and a photography piece, as well as a regular column from each school.  We hope you enjoy reading our newspaper!
